Résumé

Le mariage arrangé semble renvoyer à une relation mère-fille complexe et révéler des liens d’affiliation et d’appartenance très puissants. Les défaillances de l’environnement maternant en général et le déficit de la contenance par le regard, en particulier, semblent instaurer le despotisme du groupe internalisé et de ses idéaux via les parents et les membres de la communauté d’appartenance. La honte en serait le corollaire et le clivage apparaîtrait dans ce contexte comme une manœuvre de survie. L’accompagnement thérapeutique tout en mobilisant les réseaux primaire et professionnel autour de ces filles et jeunes femmes permettrait d’important renforcement narcissique, la relativisation des liens d’affiliation et d’appartenance et, partant, la construction de liens plus satisfaisants à l’autre.

Abstract

Arranged marriages seem to be related to a complex mother-daughter relationship, and they reveal very powerful affiliative and membership bonds. General failures of the mothering environment, and more particularly the failure of containing with the gaze, found the despotism of the internalized group and its ideals through the parents and the members of the community. Shame would then be a consequence of this situation, and splitting would appear in this context as survival mechanism. As it mobilizes primary and professional networks for these girls and young women, the therapeutic accompaniment would allow important narcissistic reinforcement, putting the affiliative and membership bonds into perspective, and therefore the construction of more satisfactory bonds to the other.
